Having trouble with one of my Dometic A/C units.  Does anyone know if they are 13,500 BTU'S or 15,000 BTU's?  with a heat pump?

From the brochure:  “Three 13.5M BTU Roof Air Conditioners with Wall Thermostat and Heat Pump (Malibu 42, Sunset 42)”.
Optional were:  “Two 15M BTU Roof Air Conditioners and One 13.5M BTU Roof Air Conditioner with Wall Thermostats and Heat Pumps (Malibu 42, Sunset 42)”.

I assume your “43 ft.” is actually the 42’ 8” Sunset;  no 43’ is in the pamphlet.

Joel:

Thanks for the Air-Conditioner help.  Of the 3 units on our roof, will have to climb up to see which one is the 13, 500 BTU.

Don't know about the length.  I bought the coach January 2018 in Mesa, AZ and it had 13,500 miles on it.  I have always been told it's a 43 footer, but you may indeed be correct on the 42.8 ft. length.

If the option wasn’t used at the factory, Dennis, all your units are 13.5.  You may not need to go on the roof;  our units have ID labels that can be viewed by opening the roof access/vent door inside the coach.  In my case the info on the labels is partially blocked by a 110v wire and a fluid hose, but they can be moved aside enough to read things... albeit with a flashlight and younger eyes ;).

As to length, manufacturers generally go by the nearest achieved whole foot length, even if it’s closer to the next highest whole foot.  Thus Monaco would print yours in the brochure as a 42, and my 36’ 10” as a 36.  But salesmen and owners selling theirs might quote 43’ and 37’ because longer sounds better, and is closer to the actual length.
