I have an 06 Beaver Marquis.  Top of the entry door is a medal, I call a stop.  It keeps door open when fully extended.
It has become floppy and I cannot open screen door unless door is full open. Does anyone have a fix for this. I am thinking if I take it off door and pean the rivets that connect it together would tighten it up.  Thanks for the help..Tried to search the Forum but did not know proper name for it.

Yeah peaning the rivets will tighten the door stop up, I have even heard of some replacing the rivets. I think you can get a new one for Northwest RV supply but if I remember correctly they are not cheap.

  You are on the right  track, Remove the scissor assembly and peen the rivet on a vise with a ball peen hammer. Do not put the pivot in a bind but snug. Fun project, Blessings & Joy, Fred

Just a heads up - one end bracket is secured by screws and the other end bracket is secured with big flat head pop rivets. I had mine replaced by a mobile tech years ago because it required a big lever arm rivet gun (or a power rivet gun). He sourced the new one directly from REV. The replacement piece linked in a prior post noted that no attachment hardware is included with the piece, so you might want to source the rivets before removal. Finally, after five years, my replacement has experienced the same pivot loosening so I will follow your results....please post your final conclusions when you’re done. Thanks in advance.

Hello:  Removed the Swing Arm Assy.  Had to drill out rivets in the top.  Found the rivets in the arem was worn out.. Tried to pean them to no avail..So bit the bullet and ordered one.  With freight $138  Thank everyone for your input.  The Forum is a
great tool..

The end of the strut that attaches to the coach goes on one way. If one screw won't quite go in you have the plate oriented backward. Just spin the plate around until all screws go in correctly. I have a box of the right size SS rivets, email me and I can send you a few. I bought the large hand riveter from HF for the job, worked well. I've since used it to re-rivet my fold up entry step.
