VMS system and inverter
« on: November 25, 2020, 03:37:22 AM »
I have a 2001 Beaver Patriot Concord with the silver leaf VMS and a 2000 W magnum inverter with the remote control panel in my coach. The magnum inverter and remote control panel are pretty straightforward, but when I go into the VMSs system on the dash it has A place to turn off/on what is labeled as the ProSync inverter, is this a different inverter or is this the magnum inverter?

Mack,
I'm pretty sure the Magnum is not the original inverter. The brochure for the 01 lists a 2KW Stat Power. My 01 Contessa (bought in 05) had a Xantrex. I don't remember what the Silver Leaf displayed.

    Mack,
I am pretty sure that your coach came with a Prosine 2000 watt inverter/charger which is no longer in your coach. The Magnum inverter/charger that you have is a really dependable system. I am reasonably sure there is no interface with the original VMS electronics and the replacement Magnum that you have. If you have the Magnum owners manual, be patient while you read it, I think it was written by the head engineer but it does make sense. Hope this helps, Fred
