2008 Marquis chassis control module issues with smart wheel functions

(1/4) > >>

Gary Miller:
Lost use of wipers, cruise etc. According to a Lazyday Tech, the chassis multiplex Control module needs to be replaced but we can’t find a part number. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
Also, there isn’t a separate smart wheel control module on this coach.

Steve Huber Co-Admin:
Gary,
The Smart Wheel controller should be mounted in or very near the driver console on the left side of the driver seat. The diagrams  for it are in the 2008-2009 Marquis wiring diagrams in Coach Assist. See pages 157 for location note and 151 for wiring to the controller. A note on pg 157 indicates the controller is should be mounted inside the coach. This is different from earlier models where it was mounted in the front electrical bay. Suggest you get the tech to verify that signals are coming from the Smart Wheel to the controller. If not it could be a bad clock spring in the wheel.
Steve

Frank Bergamo:
Gary,

the chassis control module you are referring to is a Kongsberg Multiplex CCM. Unfortunately they are unavailable. Do a search on any Monaco forum and there are a number of opinions on a solution, none of them any good. Hopefully as Steve said, it’s just a clock spring. Hope this helps, good luck.

Bob Bulot:
Hi Gary,

Just ordered a replacement module online at Northwest RV Supply (nwrvsupply.com).

They are pretty proud of these modules.  Mine was just south of $290.

My model is on back order, due on 02/24.

Gary Miller:
Do you have the part number for the replacement?
