Prosine control panel issue
« on: February 03, 2021, 05:00:45 PM »
On my 2001 Contessa I am having an issue with the PROSINE control panel.

On the fault indicator I am getting 4-5 beeps and flashing on the warning, fault, and temp indicators.

With the charging on the readings are 14.1 for chassis batteries  on the CMP II panel.

and the house batteries are reading 13.5 on the CMP  II panel.

I have no issues with anything I  can physically look at.

What could cause this?

Lamonte, we had a similar issue with our Magnum inverter which was caused by a corroded communication connector between the house batteries and the inverter. It was simply a telephone cable connector next to the house batteries .

Thanks Bryan, I believe I have it conquered finally. Thanks for your help.

I talked with tech support at prosine and he said its possible that the temp sensor thats internal is going bad.

He told me to unhook shore power and battery cables and let it sit for a couple hours and let it do a reset and it may fix the issue too.

But the beeping has stopped for now.

Hi; we have a 02 Marquis with the Prosine panel that show the exact same messages and also on  the CMP. It will not display fault issue when checking for it:  It has done this couple times a year for last 4 yrs.  We full time and it’s  aggravating. The gentleman that has done elec work for us told me to flip breaker on the panel and then master disconnect in batt compartment.  I then give it it a few mins flip panel on and after delay on our internal and external surge protectors the fault light disappears.

    Roy,
You may try to evaluate the intermittent cause by unplugging the battery temperature sensor as previously mentioned. On the side of the Prosine you will find some RJ-11 communication cables. Unplug the one that is the battery temperature. This will not hurt anything this time of year. Hope this helps, Fred
