I have an '06 Monterey and would like to know what coolant was installed in the C9 from the factory.  I'm not sure that Monaco uses or used  the Cat ELC

Mine came with the regular CAT coolant.  I had it replaced with the ELC by Petterson Cat in Eugene, Oregon.  If your coolant is red in color it is the ELC.

Our '06 Monterey came with the basic coolant, as likely did yours.  Bend and CAT recommended that at the first coolant change (up to 4 years) we use ELC.

Looks like I have the regular coolant.  After 50,000 miles I think I am way past due for a change. Thanks for the info from everyone

Make sure you do a very thorough flush when you do the changeover to ELC.  According to CAT the presence of significant amounts of the old coolant in the system will reduce the "extended life" properties of ELC.
