New Zantrax 3012
« on: October 23, 2021, 07:26:34 PM »
Had a cable go and ruined my 5 agm 200ah batteries.  So switched them out with lithium.  In for a penny in for a pound have a little down time so I also upgraded my 2000 w zantrax to a 3000 w pure sign wave.  I was going to use my same wire for the keypad but I with the bus adapters I could not get the damn thing to work… however I hated the location above the entry door so I ran a cat 5 to the bathroom and a much better location now I can take a crap and adjust the settings 🤣

My old keypad worked fine I don’t know why the adapters did not work ?  I put the right colors on the ends.  With the cat 5 both my new keypad and ags link up and work fine …

Paul -

Certainly, as we get older, we look for more multi-tasking methods to get more jobs accomplished quicker and easier... whether in the bathroom or elsewhere.  I must say I appreciate your humor; you had me chuckling.  Regarding the location of the Xantrex remote, I like its location being above the co-pilot's seat because I can check the inverter's charging voltage, and on the Aladdin at the same time with a turn of my head, I can see both the house batteries' and chassis batteries' charge status.

It seemed every time I checked it my step was in and I reached and looked up for me it was awkward and inconvenient.  …..
