Not sure what this means but hope someone can give me some input or maybe i did something wrong. I set the jacks where I wanted them and was gone and now i see they not down but creeped up.

Thanks
Rick

Rick,
I think you've got an RVA system. If so, hydraulic pressure is used to operate the jacks. Sounds like a leak in the hydraulic system so it isn't maintaining the pressure needed to keep the jacks extended. Also, check the fluid level in the reservoir. Manual is in Coach Assist if you need it.

As Steve opined and in addition, each of your hydraulic jacks likely has a pair of springs to retract the extended ram when the hydraulic pressure is released.  Thus, if your system is not maintaining hydraulic pressure to keep the ram extended (due to a leaking seal, O-ring, etc.), then the springs will pull the ram back up.

ok i went out put them back up leveled etc they help over night but the red light after i had them set kept blinking and sounding the alarm. so i assume its telling me i am low on fluid. is the place to fill; the fluid in the service bay or under the rig?

Thanks

I am not sure about your RV but our hydraulic pump and reservoir are under the entry steps just to the side of where the entry step folds up.  Our has the hydraulic pump attached to the oil reservoir.  Our RV has a ringing bell/buzzer sounding when the reservoir oil is low.

Rick,

On my 98 Patriot it is just forward of the service bay, but still under the coach.  Not to hard to get to, but a long skinny funnel will help.  I believe yours will be in the same location.

Thank you for your reply> it does look like mine is also in front of the service bay. So i use dextron II for the tank to fill it?

 Thanks again

Rick,

According to my notes that is what to use.  I have topped off mine with Dextron and it works fine.

Most hydraulic/transmission equipment I have seen calls for Dexron III or higher (Dexron IV, Dexron V, etc.) and it's a registered trademark transmission fluid by GMC.  "Dextron" is a whole different animal; it's a medicine.
