Hydraulic slide and jacks
« on: October 01, 2022, 03:48:28 PM »
While getting ready to get out of town, the jacks wouldn't retract. The IDS panel does its check, but when Retract is pressed - nothing.
If I select Auto, it begins the air dump. Also, went to check the main slide, and again, nothing. We had a broken pipe in the kitchen, not sure if there's something there that would effect the hydraulics (switches or such). All was working prior.
Side note, y'all are awesome, I have learned so much from this forum. So thanks.

Mark,
Do you hear the hydraulic pump running when you press the slide or jack switch. If so, check the fluid level. If not the problem is probably electrical. Easiest to check is the hydraulic pump relay (K8?) in the front electrical bay. Switch it with another one  and see if it solves issue. Relays are available at any auto parts store. Just  be sure to get same configuration. If still no joy I'd suspect a faulty pump or wiring open to it.

Yep, nothing with the pump.
I'll check it out the relays.
Thanks.

The relay checked out.
Switched it with another,  and it worked, but still nothing from the pump.  The relay clicks when the Retract button is applied,  but that's it. Nothing more.
I know I'm missing something.  😕

Mark,

I believe there is another solenoid on the hydraulic pump. On my ‘02 Marquis the pump was located under the right front, next to the step assembly. The solenoid will be mounted on top of the pump motor. Hope this helps.

It was the pump solenoid.
Thanks again all.
