Engine oil sending unit / 350 Turbo ISC
« on: May 25, 2023, 11:20:15 PM »

The oil sending unit on my 350 ISC Turbo failed.

Does anyone have the part number # to order a new sender ?

I took RV to Cummins in Coburg and the one they ordered did not work.

It's been a week and they still don't have an answer for me.

Also,  can the sender be removed and changed with oil in sump or does oil need to be drained before replacing ?

Thanks

There are 2 sending units, both on the pass side of the engine; 1 for the dash gauges and warning buzzer and the other for the ecu (I assume). One should have 3 pins, the other 2 pins. They are above the starter. Part #s mentioned are 4921511 and 492153. Location shown at https://thecampingadvisor.com/8-3-cummins-oil-pressure-sensor-location/#tab-con-1
Search iRV2 for possible more info on ISC 350 oil sending unit.
You should be able to get the part #s from a Cummins dealer with engine serial#.
If engine is off and cool you should be able to remove them as they are not located in the oil pan.

If you are talking about the sending unit that is on the end of about a 15” long hose from the engine
to the frame it is a Autometer part #2242. I order one from Summit Racing a couple years ago as my
orginal rusted out.
