C13 Engine Sound at shut down

I have a c13  with 20,500 miles in my 2008 Patriot Thunder.  Recently at engine shut down, I am hearing a pumping or pulsating sound. This happens if I use the 3-5 minute cool down or not and after short engine runs as well as a full day of operation. I am not getting any engine codes and I had a diesel tech look into it. Found nothing. Anyone else experience this condition?

Hi Ron,

We ave an 07 thuncder with the C13 we are just turning 40K and have not had any issues as discribed. We did have Cat do the POM adjust the val. at 30K and have not seen any other problem. We do have a lag in the starting and I understand this has been common problem "as told from the folks at Bend"
