how to manually lower my winegard traveler antenna
« on: November 13, 2024, 01:28:10 AM »
I've lost power and need to move location. The traveler antenna is up, and I need to manually lower it to travel. There is supposed to be a knob or screw at the antenna base to lower it. Any help locating the knob is appreciated. Bob

Using an internet search I found this:

"To use emergency manual stow, unplug the interface
box. Then, remove the black plastic bolt from the back of the mount. Insert a 3/8th socket extension into this auxiliary
drive. Turn the auxiliary drive clockwise to lower the unit. Do not use a drill!"

Does this explanation seem to accurately describe your dish?  If so, then maybe it will work.  Good luck!

The "Winegard Traveler Satellite Installation and Operation" manuals have been loaded to Coach Assist. It is located in the Entertainment Systems section. It covers manual stowing of the dish. Thanks to Eric Maclean.
