Waste valves….UGH
« on: September 22, 2024, 03:32:11 AM »
What would be the procedure for opening the electric dump valves with no power?  I have some power gremlins running amok in the coach and just realized (after needing to dump) that  oth dump switches are dead.  Haven’t started to diagnose, but can they be manually opened if I can get behind the water manifold panel? Or, will the switch come apart where I can possibly jump it?  Both gray and black water switches are dead.

I just replaced the valves on my 2002 Marquis with new DrainMaster units.  The new valves come with a 1/8" allen wrench which will open the valves manually.  You may be able to access the valves by removing the paper towel holder.

My old valves did not come with any wrench and one of them opened with a 1/8" socket wrench, the other one had a flat blade screw driver access point that was impossible to open for me.  You may have to remove the water bay access panel to open your valves.

If you have the paper towel holder there should be an opening behind that might give enough access that you might be able to manually open the valves. Good luck with your electrical issues.
