Asco Red-Hat Diverter Value Issues

(1/2) > >>

Don White:
The water pump when turned on runs continuously.  From reviewing the posts on the topic it would seem the diverter valve is stuck open. The part number is 8210G94.

I'm getting a little confused in searching for a replacement.  Should I be getting one that is 12 volt, 24 volt or 110/120 volt and should it be normally open or normally closed?

The names of any suggested suppliers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric Maclean Co-Admin:
12 volts

Thanks for the responses.

Is this the correct US Solid ball value to replace the Asco valve?  They appear to come in 2 types, 2 wire or 3 wire.  The link below is for the 3 wire.

This is the valve I purchased.  It does have three wires but I used only two.  The other wire I bent back and taped off.  I do not know the function of the third wire.  My guess is it may be for an automatic closure when the fresh water tank is filled but our coach never had that function as long as we have owned it.

I like this ball valve because it can be heard when opening and closing, so I know it's doing its job when I press the switch to open and close it.
