When the slide or window awning roller gets next to the body of the motor home the part of the tensonier that sticks out makes contact with the body of the motorhome and prevents the awning tube from turning or unrolling like FUNBUS mentioned in his original post. Works like an awning lock only passively.
A&E uses (used) an AL band ext with a rubber foot.
