Bill, do you have basement units? Mine are rooftop and I don't know where the control boards are located up there.

My units are on the roof but the thermostats have connections in the tank bay.  That is where the problem was with corrosion at the connections.  Since your new thermostat is acting the same as the old one my bet is the problem is at the connections.

all three a/c's were running all weekend and are still going strong tonight back in the barn. I suspect you are correct and it is some corrosion in a connector somewhere, particularly with all of the rain and humidity we have experienced the last month. I'm going to take it down to Alliance Wednesday and get them to find the problem. I didn't even try to program the new thermostat this weekend. As long as it was working, I didn't touch anything.
