Couch Replacement

Hi,  We have a '97 Beaver Marquis, Tourmaline, Villa fold down sofa that was cloth.  I found cloth material I liked and went to a regular upholsterer who took our couch out the door and recovered it.  It took about a day or a little more and that was probably 5 or 6 years ago.

We had the original recliner, which we think was a Villa product.  It was a typical, very large chair that IMHO wasn't that comfortable unless it was fully reclined.  For example, I found it uncomfortable to use as a reading chair when it was upright.  

It needed to be reupholstered and we wanted the lighter Euro look.  It's amazing how the smaller recliner improves the look of the coach.  Visually the room just opens up.  As for the comfort of a Euro recliner, not all of them are equal; if you ever try an Ekornes recliner you'll understand how comfortable a chair can be.

Our 99 Tourmaline had Villa furniture ... to include the sofa.  We had Villa remanufacture the sofa about 10 years ago, because the fabric was worn and the cushions lost their resilience.

That effort was one in futility, as the remake lasted just a few years.  I ended up making my own sofa through use of Home Deport 2x2's and dense foam cushions, which we had a local upholsterer in Yuma cover.

I would recommend you remove the unit, as Sharon suggested she had done, and take it to a local, reputable upholsterer and have it remade.
