Replacing existing tail lights with LEDS
« on: August 13, 2009, 03:36:22 PM »
Would anyone have know who manufactured the tail and turn signal lights on a 2004 Beaver Santiam. They look like Chevrolet pickup lights to me, but I would like to confirm that if possible.
Thanks,
Jim

On my 2005 Monterey the taillights are from a 93 Mazda B2000 pickup. Also if you google the name on your existing taillight (Glo-Brite) you will find yours. There isn't an LED assy that I can find. You can replace the bulbs with LED bulbs. Just make sure the bulb has side facing diodes to light the sidemarker part of the lens reflector. There is a european style replacement for the 93 Mazda pickup, fancy but again no LED and $100 for the pair. I'm still seaching and will post if and when I find. Hope this helps...Jim Nichols

Thanks Jim,
That is a good starting point.  If you do wind up finding something I would appreciate knowing your source, I'll do the same on this end.
Best regards,
Jim

Usually you can take the part number off the tail liight and a body shop will point you in the right direction.
