I like to use Delo 15W40 oil in my Cat. I was looking for some in at Costo and found it but it had an LE on it which I didn't recall in the past. Checking the book and the Delo website I see that the LE is an API CJ-4 EC3 rating for 2007 and above. I doubt that it was manufactured when my C9 was made in 2004 even though it is called a 2005. Question being, would it hurt to use that oil even though the specs calls for a CI-4 EC1 oil? I would think that the newer oil would be backward compatible but didn't see that stated anywhere.
