1/2 with 12v power 1/2 without

While replacing the carpet with laminate in the bedroom (getting ready to head south) I powered up the "Coach Power" 12v switch by the door and turned on all of the 12v fourescent lights.  They all came on and stayed on.  Several hours later, after I was interrupted for lunch, walking the dog, etc, I returned to the job to find the two lights in the back 1/2 off (one in the bedroom, one above the bathroom sink).  Nothing I have thought of brings them back to life.  Any ideas?  I really doubt 2 would burn out at all, let alone at the same time.  Besides, I don't have any spare tubes.

The flooring job went smoothly, now all the uncleanable white carpet is gone from the floors.  It remains on the lower portion of the walls, but that part still looks good.

I would take the two bright tubes that you have and put them both in the same fixture, because it is the easiest and simplest diagnostic method. If they work properly and repair the problem in that fixture, buy two new tubes (florescent bulbs) and install them in the other fixture. Two tubes failing at the same time is possible.

Be great if you'd post pics of the new floor, especially around the engine hatch. I'm thinking of ripping out my bedrrom carpet (already put wood in the living area). BTW, love Saltspring. My wife's cousins were early settlers there (Garners).

As usual, Gerald is correct. Thanks Gerald!  Two tubes were poor, so when I put tubes from the front fixture in either of the rear fixtures, they worked just fine.  Now I need to stop at a Camping World on the trek south and get some replacement tubes.

Steve:  I am still finding it hard to get pictures posted.  If you send me your email I can send you the pictures. First year of being able to spend more time on Saltspring, love every minute of it!

Keith,   Most Wal-Mart stores carry the flourescent tubes you need.   Henry
