Dick,
Sounds like Danny put the RS switch in to enable either Sat audio or audio from anything playing on/thru the VCR to get to the Bose. I suspect that if you play a DVD or use cable / antenna (which probably route thru the VCR) you will have Bose sound with VCR selected on the RS switch.
I think the multiple button box you referred to selects which input to route to the rear TV.
If you want to check it out, an easy way is to hook up a VCR outside the coach with its output connected to the cable in connector. Put a tape in and you have an easily identifiable signal for your cable input. You can also fire up your antenna booster to ID antenna signals as well and use the Sat and VCR inside the coach to find all the signals.. This makes IDing signals and routing a lot easier and enables one to pull inputs, etc. to see what's routed where.
Although it might sound complicated, you might be able to route all signal inputs to the TV inputs and remove the VCR completely.
You might want to refer to the "VCR needed" thread as Bill Jourdain and Ed Buker had some very good observations when I was doing my conversion.
Let me know if you think a wiring block diagram would help. I can email my current setup.

I just completed the installation of a 32" Internet ready LED LCD 1080P Samsung UN32EH5300. I used a tilting articulating arm and built a new frame. New  unit consumes 45 watts vs old unit 190 watts.  :)

Larry,
Clean looking installation! I especially like the trim work. Will the cabinet latch hold the unit in place while traveling?

Thanks Steve and Ed! I'm using a heavy duty bungee cord to keep the arm from extending while traveling for now. The TV only weighs 12lb.s so it should do the trick. The frame is secured with HD Velcro. I was unable to find the right Cherry speciman so I decided to go with Pine. I went with a light stain and blended some brief touches of dark stain to add some contrast. I applied 3 coats of stain and finished it with 3 coats of a "wipe on" urethane -sanding with 220 grit sandpaper between coats. I appreciate the compliments, this project was kinda tricky and consumed an entire weekend.
