I had a trans cooler fail on my Monterey. I found it when I checked the coolant level and found the pink oily substance on the radiator cap. The truck shop in Great Falls Mt. Replaced the radiator, the coolant and serviced the transmission. I think I got very lucky because the trans never gave me any problems.

I just had the transmission fluid changed with Transynd and filters at Valley Power Systems, Inc. for a total of $391plus tax -I have the Allison 3000HS. This is a service deal (up to 9 gallons of fluid) ending December 31, 2013. Valley Power is one place I don't mind visiting. This is the only service place where the technician refuses to enter the rig without covering the floor from the front all the way to the rear bedroom. HE wouldn't touch the bed or open the slides without me doing it for him. (This was so he could refill the trans) . He also removed his shoes. I waited 4 hours at the Miraloma CA location but they have a nice drivers lounge too.
