Air Dryer - Desiccant Cartridge
« on: January 28, 2010, 09:12:27 PM »
Has anybody had any experience replacing an air dryer cartridge in a Cat C 9 engine in a 2007 Contessa?

Would you please share your procedures?  Specifically, purging the system of air.

Thank you

Your air dryer manual should have directions. Be sure to purge air before unscrewing anything by opening the manual air valves. You will replace two conponents one is a small "cloasecing filter" inside and the screw on "desiccant canister". In some motorhome applications it is easier to remove the assembly to preform the change.

If you do not have a manual the manufacturer will have one on line.
