Ceiling loose

Anyone have a good fix for a ceiling coming unglued? I have 2 walnut gold stripes going front to back with white ceiling upholstery glued to ceiling. It is coming unglued and sagging from ceiling. I thought about adding more walnut stripes but there has to be another fix. Tear out start over, reglue or none of the above. Thanks for your input. !998 Beaver.

Carl,
If it is the upholstery that is coming unglued, it can be almost impossible to re-glue it without first getting the old glue removed. Otherwise the new glue just adheres to the old, which continues to deteriorate. Might check with a good auto/RV upholstery shop. Anther thought would be to install some decorative wood strips to hold the ceiling material up, but I fear once the glue starts letting loose, it may spread to the rest of the ceiling. Maybe there is an upholstery expert reading that can give you a better direction.

Due to water leaks and ceiling cleaning mine came loose in a number of places. My 2001 Contessa interior roof has 2 wooden strips which I took down and pulled material lightly loose to get access to all loose areas without stretch material. Bought a can of "Locktite Spray Adhesive." and sprayed in gap between material and plywood and just pushed material up in place.  Worked Great and all is still up!  Then reinstalled wood ceiling boards.
