Dave,

What info can you give about an engine using the serial number?  Any maintenance records or just tech specs?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, what you will need for getting parts and update info for your engine at any Cat Dealer.
You will need your engine S/N number and a engine A/R number this is all that you will need.
Without the A/R number in most cases such as we are getting years behind us with ownership
Of Cat engine ( not all parts will fit ). Sure parts people can use info you have year and S/N number
But sometimes you will have a choice from 6 different parts for a C-12. With the A/R number
parts people can plug into your build of your engine and what XYZ part engine calls for.
Give me your Engine S/N number and I can get the A/R number for you for your records.
