Route to Amarillo 87/385
« on: September 25, 2014, 01:46:26 AM »
I am RON in Pueblo CO heading South to Amarillo TX. I have never used the US 87/385 to Clayton and then 287 to Amarillo. Is the route OK?

We will spend the weekend at MCD then plan to visit family in OK city. Then we will head down to Kerrville.
I know most of the roads but I am not sure about the route from Pueblo

Jerry,
There are two different routes that I have taken between Pueblo and Amarillo. My favorite one is I 25 to Raton and then US 87 to Amarillo. You can also take US 50 east to US 287 and then take US 287 to Amarillo. The second one is 15 miles longer and a little slower, but either route is OK.

Thanks Gerald, I like the looks of the Raton to US 87, it should be fun!
