"Latch Control" box in water bay?
« on: December 14, 2014, 12:12:15 AM »
We finally winterized today.
While in the compartment with the water pump, I noticed a small black box.  It's about 2x3 inches and 1/2 inch thick.  It is called a "Latch Controler".
There are several wires connected on spade connectors and the two main wires to the water pump go through it.
The circut board popped out when the unit fell off the wall.  What does this unit do?
Thanks
Keith.

This unit receives a pulse or an on condition from multiple switch locations. It latches the pump power circuit on and off as you select that option from the switches. If yours is like mine the wet bay service hatch has a push on, push of momentary switch, press once pump power is on, press again power is off. The latch module responds to that input.
