Microwave Convection Oven Vent
« on: March 22, 2015, 02:37:48 AM »
In our Patriot Thunder with all their wisdom they vented the Microwave Convection oven back into the coach above the microwave. If you use the oven feature it gets really warm in the coach. There is nothing above or behind it so I'm looking at venting it out through the side of the slide. Has anyone found a good quality vent that is not made of cheapo plastic or tin??

Ed,
Thanks I will check them out. Found Ventline cable operated vent V2154 and V2144 looks to take care of the flapping problem going down the road and they close flat to the side of the coach.
I sent them (Ventline) a couple of questions as their website doesn't do much for explaining these and how they operate and such.

You might look at these.  They work great on the W/D as a vent and only open when needed.  Paint to match the coach.http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/splendide-dryer-vent-kit-all-metal/22216

Dick,

I have looked at the W/D vent and they are all made so cheap that I don't think it would last and they look like crap. So far the best on I have found is the Ventline remote cable item.
