Tail, marker, and clearance lights out
« on: April 06, 2015, 12:18:29 AM »

Does anyone know where fuse or breaker for clearance, tail, and side marker lights may be located on my 2001 Monterey ?  I replaced the tail light assembly with LED unit recently, and all has been working well.

Thanks for the help.  John

John,
Breakers should be in the elec bay beneath the dvr's seat.

John...I'm not sure if my response has anything like yours, but then again it might.  On my recent trip prior to Pomona FMCA I was told by the person following me that I didn't have any stop lights activating on my coach or toad.  After investigating I found that if I isolated the brake and tail lights they turned on OK.  Every thing was OK from the circuit breakers back but activating the braking system using the foot brake, the lights didn't work.  Eventually, after doing a lot of isolating and continuity checking the hazard flash switch was the culprit.  So now I am in the process of ordering a new flasher/turning signal
switch.  I hope it will be the cure.

John
On our 98 Patriot we had a similar problem.  All lights on the rear and  marker lights from half way back were all gone suddenly.  Long story short the problem was in the matrix connector plug where the mass of white wires pass from the electric bay through the back wall.  The wire marked (park lights) had a burned pin in the 21 pin connector.  A simple jumper wire with splice connectors solved the problem.
I suggest that you look in the elec. Bay and identify the white park light wire.  Track that to the connector at the floor of the bay and do a circut test on that wire on both sides of the connector.  5 minutes well spent.
Good luck
