Thanks Dave... I checked the fuel lines today and after cleaning all the gunk off, both in and out on the rancor unit are Parker hoses.

So now I just need to put in the Cat Fuel/Water Separator and add the Ford 7.3 fuel pump.

Dave... Check out the picture.  The red arrow point to a model number, does that mean its a 3126E?

William, your engine is a Cat 3126 S/N 1WM series and not a E series. Dave

William, to answer question you should be good to go with the ford 7.3 electric fuel pump
and cat fuel/water filter. Again Note: mount electric pump on the discharge side of new water/
fuel filter.  Joel thanks for setting me in correct direction there there are two Joel's on the
forum. ( just returned to AZ. from many rallys in the southeast ) There is quite a story to tell
the day 4 of us went to Caterpillar Dealer in LA. to have fuel line made up. Hope Jim Nichols
provide few thoughts on this. Dave Atherton Retired Cat Mechanic

Never ever have I experienced a Cat parts department that would not put a fitting on one end of our hose(Daves) because it was 30 minutes to closing. There were 2 parts men, one could have watched the front while the other put the end on. They both went in the back with Dave and told him to stay in one area and they went around the corner and one told the other he wasn't going to do it. Mueller, Pylar, Dave and myself were scratching our heads in disbelief. Oh well maybe they both had Doc appointments.  That's only 1% out of all Cat dealers that had lemons for employees

I haven't been overly thrilled with CAT anywhere yet, but eventually I may find one.
