Hi Karl,

My apologies for being so slow to reply - we're on the road still and not completely attendant to email.

Last fall when we got the coach home we'd had a white knuckle drive because the braking seemed iffy on mountain roads. Had a brake job done at home by a guy who works mostly on logging trucks. He replaced the front rotors (not the pads) and told us everything was OK in the rear. The front rotors were cracked all over. Also, he replaced the Pac Brake. The old one was so seized that it wasn't moveable even with a pry bar. That work helped but we still weren't completely happy.

When we got to Kaiser they found several things. First, the hubs on the front had been put on the wrong sides. The front pads looked similar to the appropriate model but were undersize - they replaced all of them.  All the callipers were all replaced. The rear ones were remanufactured in 2006. The fronts had been replaced some years ago after a Bosch recall. The driver side rear rotor was replaced as were all the rear pads. That was where the ABS sensor had melted. The rotor showed signs of overheating. Brake fluid was replaced and an alignment was done.

On leaving there we noticed that now the coach finally braked as we expected. Driving became much more pleasurable.
