Sealand 510 toilet flush ball
« on: December 07, 2016, 02:54:30 AM »
After calling Dometic to verify the parts we needed for our older Sealand 510 (pre 510plus) we ordered the seals, flush ball components and floor seal.  After installing all parts and putting toilet back together we gave it a try.  The water POURED through the flush ball (we had replaced it due to leaking).   The old one fit tightly and the new one went in easily and is not a tight fit.  All the other parts fit.  We compared the new flush ball with the old one and the new one is smaller - part number 385318362.    The part in the 510 manual states 318362 - when I spoke with Dometic ( I can no longer find a phone number) they said the prefix 385 had been added to the part.  Anyone else had this issue?

Changing that ball can be nasty and after breaking three springs on our sealand flush pedal, I gave up and replaced. Apparently, they are notorious for that and I got tired of ordering new parts. The new one sits higher and has an elongated bowl...the DW approves!

It appears that most 510+ parts fit the original 510.  But I'm wondering if you might in reality have a 510H or something.  It's ball has a different part number.  Double-check your toilet model number.
