Roof Oxidation

I just wanted to post a follow up on my roof coating project and how it has held up so far.

Last winter we prepped and painted the roof with two coats of Rustoleum White Gloss Marine Deck Paint to stop any further oxidation and eliminate the streaking. We overlapped the clearcoat edge with deck paint to help tack that down and preserve that interface. We spent the summer on the road and when we returned the roof certainly was dirty with some mold where water puddled, diesel soot, and road grime. We pressure washed it and lightly scrubbed a bit with a long handled brush. The roof was easy to clean and still looks great and the paint adhesion appears excellent given the pressure wash and scrub did not remove any paint. I took a photo while I was up there (roof was wet). So far I see no downside to this inexpensive roof treatment. I will post again after next summers travels....
