Steer axel hub caps that have space for Roadmaster logo
« on: May 08, 2017, 03:32:59 AM »
Hi Unfortunately one of my Steer axel hubcaps is along the roadside in New England. (Alcoa 22.5 rims) I have found many "Baby Moon" that would fit in many shapes and sizes except none are near the original. Does any one have a source for these? The logo decals I can source form NW. Or is there a special name for these that I am not searching for?   Thanks Jim

JIm,
I got one directly from Monaco for about $41 including shipping. (The "R" logo was a $ charge).

Hey Jim,
I lost one about 3 yrs ago and asked the Caterpiller shop where I was getting service done to find me one. Big mistake---they charged me around $70. I lost that one also the next year on a trip out west and when I got to Bend I went to Beaver Coach and bought 2 so I would have a spare. Another mistake but not as bad this time--- I think they charged me around $30 for each plus a couple bucks for the "R" decals. I thought Wow! What a good deal! LOL

I still have one but over a couple more years I have lost the other and finally just replaced with a baby moon without a decal for about $5 at a truck stop!! The Beaver still looks great and you can only see one side at a time so no big deal!! LOL

Anyway--- good luck finding them! I do have one I will sell you for about $50 with a decal! LOL

Jim,
If you have your wheels polished be sure to check the moons to ensure the tabs have the clips on. The polish guys tend to pop the moons off and not worry about the clips. They'll put the moons on and you'll lose them at the first bump or curve.
