Carbon monoxide detector

We have a 2001 40' Patriot Thunder Brandywine. We went into it today and heard an alarm beeping. It was the LP gas detector. After being sure it was a false alarm, and silencing it, I removed the fuse and then the alarm. The date on it is June 1998 so I ordered a replacement that fits the hole. Then I removed the CO detector and it's date is Dec 2000. The current one was made by CCI Controls. I called the 800 number on the detector and got a recorded message trying to sell me a medical monitor and give me a free cruise. So, does anyone know if there is a CO monitor that fits the hole in the ceiling?
We had already replaced the smoke detector because it alarmed as soon as I put a new battery in it. I hope others will check the dates on your detectors to be sure they are within there useful life span. Ten years for some smoke and CO detectors, and five years for LP Gas detectors that I have found. Please be safe. Thanks, Sam
