Generator Slide Won't extend
« on: July 19, 2017, 11:33:25 PM »
Still chasing the kinks always found in a used vehicle.  The generator slide quit extending.  It tries to retract, but nothing happens when I try to extend it.  There are a few clicks sometimes.  But no movement.  I can't determine where the circuits go and I don't have any wiring diagrams.  Anyone had any experience with this issue?

Bill
I like to try the easy things first so the switch is my go to here.  Perhaps pulling out the switch from its mount and putting a jumper across will help.  Otherwise I believe its the electric motor so try to lube the rails and clean everything to make the moveing as easy as possible so less strain.
BCS parts likely has the switch or the motor in stock.

had the same problem.. It ended up that the hydrolic reservoir behind the generator was low.  took 3 people to pull it out so we could put the fluid in to get it working right.

Bill , our 07 Contessa"  has a breaker next to the hydrolic  reservoir for our generator slide , try resetting this breaker.
