Oregon 22 four corners I-5 area to Bend?
« on: September 16, 2017, 12:12:33 AM »
Going to try to pick up some parts for the PT at BCS.  Is 22 suitable for my PT?  I'm not too wimpy anymore but still not partial to narrow windy roads with steep drop offs.  Thanks for info and your time.

We have been on narrower and curvier roads with our RV while towing.  US-22 from Hebo to Valley Junction is plenty wide (just looked on Google Earth satellite view) and has about 1 to 1 1/2 feet of pavement outside the solid white side-stripes.  After Valley Junction the road gets wider with maybe 3 to 4 feet of pavement outside the solid white side-stripes.  It looks every bit as good (or better) than the McKenzie Highway (126) from Eugene to where it connects with US-20.

If you want to be daring, then try 227 from Canyonville to Trail.  We did that one too... from Trail to Canyonville though.
