Looking for Rio Grande Valley service
« on: December 07, 2017, 04:38:25 AM »
Hello All,
I am in the South Padre Island Texas  area and have what looks like a slight oil seal leak on my driver side real dually. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good repair facility in this area? I am watching for heat with IR thermometer and I have no excess heat yet but want to get it checked out.  Thanks for any input

Thank you much for the input Lamont. I have been there and all the possible choices did not or do not work out. They do not do this type of work, etc.  Was hoping someone here would have needed some heavy drivetrain work done. I have time on my side so will keep looking asking and calling. Will post when I find someone with full report.  Thanks again

Daren,
Very few "RV service" shops do the type of heavy chassis service that you are looking for. Normally, a rear axle seal leak is handled at a truck repair shop.

Thanks Gerald,  Yes that is the direction I am going. Two for two so far do not work on RV's but I will keep looking. Main thing I am looking for is reputation and quality. These seem hard to find in any service industry anymore. I am happy that it is not an emergency and I can shop around.  I am just was hoping some one on this sight might have a good local reference.

Thanks again Darell
