Dash cover or pad. Anyone have one?
« on: January 11, 2018, 02:26:34 PM »
I would like to get a fabric/carpet-style "Dash Cover" for my 05 Patriot.

I Googled around and found several companies that make/sell Dash Pads for motor homes. However, none had Beaver listed (in the drop down box) as a model they support. Is there a Monaco coach model that has the same dash as the Beaver Patriot?

I did find one company that I e-mailed who responded that they have a pattern for the 2005 Beaver Patriot.
Has anyone used "Shade Pro"? https://www.shadepro.net/product-category/dash-covers/  If so, how is the quaility of their product?

Are there any other companies making Dash covers for Beavers?

EDIT: I was asking above if there was a Monaco sister model to the Patriot. - I was just looking at this 2005 Dynasty sales video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLsX6BbJeYE and it it looks almost 90% the same as my Patriot. If it is the same (like Chevy-GMC) where the majority of parts are the same, that is very useful to know when looking for a part.

I used shade pro for my new window awnings and window outside covers. They were great to deal with.

I used these guys http://blondiespitstop.com/dash-covers/ and I like the fact that the cover just sits on the dash. No need to fasten it. They also had the pattern for my Contessa.

Thanks, I'll e-mail Blondies and see if they have what I'm looking for.

Shade Pro said they are going to send me a paper template to check the fit.

We got our dash shade cover from Action RV Upholstery Products & Services, Daniel Tuller, 800-393-2169.  He had a booth at the Arizona Market Place off 4E Street, east of downtown Yuma, Arizona.  He had templates for many of the Beaver coaches and other coaches generally.  I think our cost was $200 to $225.  It fits almost perfectly.  He had a few covers at the booth as examples, but makes them by order at his shop near downtown Yuma.  You can select from many different colors and materials to suit your needs.  His website is

We had our cover made at a shop at Lazy Days in Tampa when they bought the coach.  They had a template for our 2007 Contessa, but took measurements anyway because they said they could not count on all coaches of the same year and model being identical.  After nearly 11 years our covers are still in good shape.

Mike, We did a trial fit of the pattern Shade Pro sent. Fit perfectly! From the sample swatches they sent, the fabric they use is backed by a heavy black neoprene, not the light foam rubber used on some car/pickup dash covers. We like the beige, haven't pulled the trigger yet.

That's good to hear Bill. Thanks.

On my Patriot, I have cut and fitted a piece of tinted plexiglass piece to sit in the "depression" at the center area of the dash so the suction cups on my RM OverDryve navigation tablet and my Eeze TPMS have something to stick to.

Does the Shade Pro cover leave this "depression" uncovered?
If not, I suppose I can ask them to cut around that depression - if they are able do any customization to the covers.

I also got a response from "Active RV Upholstery" and they have a pattern for the 05 Beaver Patriot too.

Yup, I know the depression of which you speak! It was covered on my pattern, but they should be able to leave out the bottom piece.
