Hydronic heater

First, I would like to thank all the members who have helped me in the past few weeks, since acquiring this great RV. Here is my next issue :-)

I have a combination Comfort Hot and Eberspaecher diesel-fired heater. The electric water heater is a Whale unit and it works fine. However, the diesel system does not. Codes retrieved are 50 and 52. I have reset the system to unlock the control and I can feel cold air coming from the systems exhaust pipe for a while and then it shuts down again and the code comes back. Has anyone else had this issue and found the fix? How does one tell if the diesel input is working or the ignition for the fuel is working? Any other suggestions?

Thank you
Tom

Tom,
I can be of no help here because your system is a aftermarket system that Beaver never installed, and I have never worked on one. However, it does sound like one of the systems that Jim Rixen was selling to replace the OEM Hurricane heating system. Jim's website is http://rixens.com/. You can call him for help, or there are troubleshooting manuals for your system on his website that may help you.

Thank you Gerald. I will contact Rixens. In the meantime, I found a great resource for information on these heaters. My model is the HL2-16. You do have to register. Here is the link: https://partner.eberspaecher.com/en or https://partner.eberspaecher.com/en
