Voss Plastic Quick Connect Fuel Fittings.
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:15:37 PM »
Received all the fittings to get rid of the Voss 246 Plastic Quick connect fittings in the fuel system from the tank to the lift pump on the C13. I would strongly suggest that anyone that has these pos fittings in their coach to replace them with brass compression fittings, if they are not leaking yet they will be. There was four of these in my 06 PT one at the tank, two at the water separater and one at the lift pump.
Two of the four Voss fittings ears broke off releasing them and all of the push release pieces broke. They are extremely brittle from age and heat I guess. The Parker Brass air brake fittings will last forever and won't leak.
If somebody want to know the fittings I used shoot me a message.

I just replaced one of the fittings (three more to go). This is the fitting i used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BYLRGFK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This thread has the info in it too http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,7566.0.html  Look for Lee's psot.

If you have the Racor filter like mine you will need the fitting (see attachment) with the O-ring fitting that screws into the Racor with a female NTP thread on the other end so you can screw the above compression fitting into that. Such as https://www.grainger.com/product/39A315?cm_mmc=PPC:+Google+PLA&cm_mmc=PPC:+Google+PLA?campaignid=175663197&s_kwcid=AL!2966!3!50916759717!!!s!!&ef_id=WqHIIQAABfWjaYLi:20180308233249:s

Lee, how difficult is it to get to the tank fitting? Does the fuel tank need to be lowered any?

Mike, The tank on my PT is easy its in the second basement bay and it goes all the way across, I actually store a lot of items on top of the tank.
Randy, Your water separator is probably the same as Mikes and would use the same fittings, I would guess a C12 has the same pump fitting as a C13 and the Parker # is 8-1/2F5OG-S  Ebay https://vod.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDetails?itemid=332207239115&transid=1512269827014&ul_noapp=true
