rear axle gear oil type to use?
« on: March 23, 2018, 11:03:45 PM »
Ok guys, The rear axle gear oil page as stated in my manual states to use 85w-140 gear oil.with a MIL-L-2105D or MIL-PRF-2105-E REQUIREMENT.

Also it states to use 29.2 pints(29 pints =
3.625 gallons when refilling......?

What is the best to use? Synthetic or not? Brand?

I used Lucas Synthetic gear oil 75W-90 and almost all 5 gallons.  I used Synthetic beeves of the long service life of the oil.
