Gaggenau Manuals
« on: May 09, 2018, 09:27:01 PM »
Does anyone have a manual for the Gaggenau cook top?  Mine had the igniters going off constantly.  I figured an old trick I learned in the Navy might help so I opened it up and banged on things a few times.  Put it back together and now it works fine.  Just not sure how long it's going to continue.  Thinking it may have been one of the switches, but not sure.  Anyway thanks in advance.

Jerry, I have the manual for the VG 232 model/series.
If that is the model you have - it's 631KB so I can't attach to this post. PM me and I can e-mail it to you.

The secret to getting burners to light is to PUSH DOWN HARD on the burner knob while in the "To light position" and hold it a while.  I found if you do not push down hard the just do not want to light.  Maybe it is a build up in the valve itself that prevents the internals of the valve being in the right position.
