Amp Hours and Magnum
« on: June 17, 2018, 06:12:12 PM »
Refresh my memory!  I just put in 4 new house batteries.  They are rated at 220AH I think?  So if I remember properly, 220 X 2 in series makes 440.  440 X 2 in parallel really makes 440 total to set on the Magnum?  My understanding of all things electronic is good except batteries!  Thanks in advance.

Hi For 4 6v batteries 440ah would be correct. When in series you are upping the voltage but AH remains the same. In parallel voltage remains the same but AH increases.  As indicated in the magnum manual, it is correct to use the 20 hr rate of 220 amps.
