Switches on steering wheel.

I have a 2006 Thunder. On my return from the rally in Redmond whenever I would turn the steering wheel hard left the wipers would come on. Also the cruise control stopped working. Anyone had a similar problem? Solutions?

The clockspring may be dirty or going bad. It provides the connections from the wheel to the wires that run to the various functions. The steering wheel needs to be pulled to access it.

Steve is right in that it sounds like you have a defective clock spring. If you attempt the repair yourself, be careful that the wheels are straight ahead and that the new spring and all components are centered when reassembling to prevent damaging the new spring.

Also here is a "clockspring replacement instruction sheet" (but I'm not sure the part number is correct for us. This came from the Monaco forum). Looking at the Autotec website, there seem to be quite a few clockspring models. http://www.douglasautotech.com/departments/service-parts/
