I never drive with the switch on. Too much jerking back and forth. I turn the PAC Brake switch on as needed and then off when braking is complete. Has worked well for me for 15 years.
Ditto here.  Just on steep downgrades, simply because I can tell by how it behaves in other scenarios that it’s enduring too much, like Dave implies.  I’ve often tried it in stop and go city-like traffic, as I’ve heard some recommend, but usually soon abandon that as too repetitive intensive;  whatever service brake wear that abandonment may result in likely isn’t as much as what’s on the exhaust brake otherwise.
