Aqua Hot Thermostat

Had all three A/C units replaced and did away with the heat pumps and was going to use the aqua hot for heat. Now the Aqua Hot control doesn’t show up on my thermostat. What happened?

Gary,
I'm assuming your old t'stats had both heat pump and furnace modes. The new ones should display a furnace mode. If not either they are not compatible with a furnace or (more likely) they are not hooked up right. Check behind the t'stat and see how many loose wires are there. Also check the t'stat documentation to see where the furnace wires hook up at.

We recently replaced one ac/heat pump in our 2007 Patriot. Had to change the control board in the new ac to allow it to work with the "old" 5 button thermostat. I would check with Dometic ( I assume they are Dometic) to see if the thermostat should work in the new configuration.

Hi Gary,
   On the PC board located inside the roof air conditioner there are a series of "dip switches". The one that says "furnace" has to be turned on to tell the wall thermostat that there is a heat source. In your case the Aquahot. If you have 3 heat zones, turn on the furnace dip switches on all three air conditioners. note: you may have to unplug the Wall thermostat to reset it after you turn on the dip switches.
