That is a Cole Hersey 24059-BP Continuous Duty Solenoid  https://www.amazon.com/Cole-Hersee-24059-BP-Insulated-Continuous/dp/B0064MX7US

EDIT: remove "BP" in front of part number.  PS. Do not get the 24059-08 (that is a 65A solenoid)

Laurence,
There are many different manufacturers that make this solenoid, and most all of them will work fine for you. Just be sure that you get a continuous duty solenoid with at least an 85 amp rating.

Laurence:

You may want to get a spare diode as well, its the u shaped wire between the center 2 studs. (the part number on mine is TCI 1N540, it's a 3 amp rectifier diode).  During replacement of the starter solenoid on my coach it shorted out.  They are hard to find since Auto Parts stores or home electrical stores do not carry them.  I found my diodes searching the internet, an electrical distributor in Florida had them for $.20 cents each.  I know have spares to carry along with the solenoid.

When the diode shorts out, there is no dash power of ignition start function. I found out that if the diode is removed dash power returns, since it is between the ignition wire and ground wire on the solenoid.  I also learned through help from Mike and Steve that the strip on the diode goes to the incoming positive battery cable (left side of the solenoid).

Randy,
The solenoid that you are referring to is called the ignition or run solenoid. The starter solenoid is actually located on top of the starter motor. Also the reason that the diode that failed when you installed it was because you installed it backwards. When that diode is installed backwards, it is a direct short bypassing the ignition solenoid windings when the key is on, and the excess current will destroy it (burn it up). Therefore if you are very careful to always reinstall the diode exactly the way it was removed, it should never fail.

Thanks.... Shipping cost and taxes also need to be added to the price and you have to wait a few days for it to arrive. So to each his own.... paying a little extra is worth it for me.
