I have a 1998 Beaver Patriot Savannah that I am slowly remolding. I also have the retractable screen door rather than a hinged screen door. I read on the earlier post about the retractable type being problematic. My real question is, is there any way to change the screen out to a framed screen door model? It looks like the hinge would need to be integrated into the same hinge as the entry door which would make this rather difficult. Or am I missing something that would make this not that big of a deal.
My retractable screen seems to be in fairly good condition mechanically. I need to put new screen on it and then rewind the spring so it retracts. Any tips on doing either of these would be appreciated. Carl
