Parts for Power seat
« on: January 03, 2019, 01:12:42 PM »
I spoke to Mike at Villa Rv Furniture and they do not stock parts for the power seat. He said Chevy Suburbans used the same parts as the seat in my coach. By the time I got an answer from him I did my own repairs. The Plastic cap that supports the screw gear and keeps it aligned was broken on mine. The seat would bind and not move forward or back. I purchased a 3/8 pipe plug and drilled a hole in the center inside of it to support the screw shaft. I tapped the threads in the plastic housing to 3/8 pipe and assembled with new grease and tightened the new cap just to take up the slack in the screw gear. I cleaned out both units as the grease was like tar and hard as a rock. While I had the seat out I lubed and cleaned all moving parts. The seat works like a charm now. Thought I would pass along this fix for anyone having the same problem.
